Dinners for Life & Meridian Park Diabetes Support Group

Jim and Kristi McConnell, owner/operators of Dream Dinners of Tualatin will present healthy and easy to prepare "diabetes friendly" dinners at the Meridian Park Diabetes Support Group meeting on Tuesday January 5th, 2010 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Community Health Education Center Room 107 at Meridian Park Hospital.

Dinners for Life is an exclusive program and menu offering, brought to you by Dream Dinners, designed to help you manage your health needs with a diabetes friendly menu. Studies show that by simply making a habit of eating at home, persons with pre-diabetes or diabetes have a better chance of effectively controlling or improving their health. Our dietitian-designed, physician-approved dinners make eating at home much easier by taking the guesswork out of deciding what's for dinner. We supply all of the essentials, from easy-to-follow instruction to fresh, pre-cut ingredients. so you can assemble your dinners, store in your freezer and serve in the weeks ahead.

As a Dinners for Life customer, you don't have to prepare a separate dinner for yourself while the family eats something different. The best part for anyone enjoying this menu is discovering that the delicious taste can go hand-in-hand with managing diabetes. Dinners for Life is simple to use, saving you hours of time planning, shopping and studying nutritional labels. We've done the analysis for you - calories, carbohydrates, sodium, fats, cholesterol and portion sizes are all designed for individuals with diabetes.

It is this easy:

1. Visit dinnersforlife.com, and enter your zip code to find a store nearest you. Once in you set up your account, select a session and choose your delicious meals.
2. When you attend your session at our store be ready for some fun! We will have all of the ingredients ready for you - just make sure that you bring a cooler to take your delicious meals home in.
3. Take your dinners home and freeze. Thaw a few at a time then cook and enjoy them with your entire family all month.
